I'm very new to Ancestris. I installed the software and imported a GEDCOM file exported from my previous software (PAF = Personal Ancestry File, in my case). It has 469 individuals.
Ancestris returned a list of errors, most of them due to non-standard use of GEDCOM by PAF. I quickly browsed through the "full list" and noticed a couple of things I needed to fix. But for the moment, I closed that "full list".
Now my question is: how can I find back that list? Or maybe just an "extract" of the changes, it might possibly be enough.
Is the list stored somewhere? (I checked the log file, it's not there.) Or can I re-create it, and then how?
Or even more in general: what is the best way to check and correct any anomalies resulting from imperfect GEDCOM import?

Hi,

The list can be stored by pressing the top left button of the window where it is displayed.

To display the list again, redo the import operation without saving the resulting Gedcom file. Make a copy of your previous good gedcom file before doing it just in case.

To check anomalies on a regular basis, press the round green checkmark button in the tool bar or else choose Tools/"Validate Gedcom compliance and Data consistency". The list is not exactly the same. During import, Ancestris tells you the corrections made and highlights a few incorrect ones it cannot fix. The validation menu action is more the list of existing anomalies.

Cheers,
Frederic

That worked, thank you! I wanted both the Full list and the Extract version in order to compare them, so I did the process twice.
Out of curiosity: what is that top left button of the window (to save) supposed to represent? It looks perhaps most like a warbled floppy disk to me :-)

Exactly. Very vintage, isn't it.
