Some entries are doubled in sub-menus in Menu bar

There are two entries for 'Aries editor' in View and 'Merge duplicates' in Tools. See examples in the attachment.

I use Ancestris 13.

Does it mean that I can simply delete the cache directory with all subfolders from the user directory?

Yes. you can delete all 3 directories:
.ancestris/trunk/var/cache
.ancestris/trunk/modules
.ancestris/trunk/update_tracking

Then, in addition to clearing the cache, you need to reinstall from the server please.
After which you need to clear the cache again.

I followed your instructions, but the issue still hasn't been resolved. Maybe it has something to do with the warning I've been getting for a while (please, see in the attachment).

Yes, you're right, the message shows you have *not* downloaded the application version 14 from the Ancestris web site, installed it and cleaned the cash.
Something has gone wrong somewhere in the process if you did do these 3 steps.

I downloaded version Ancestris13. I don't want version 14!?

ok then download again Version 13. The bug you have was fixed also during version 13.

After reinstalling Ancestris 13 the same Unexpected Exception warning appeared again!? I was also asked to update the application, which is probably OK.

Don't forget to remove the cache.
(others before you had this error like you (including me) and by doing the steps above it got resolved).

I did remove the cache. Actually I removed delete all 3 directories:
.ancestris/trunk/var/cache
.ancestris/trunk/modules
.ancestris/trunk/update_tracking. After reinstalling should I have deleted only this directory: .ancestris/trunk/var/cache?
Then I was usked to do the updates.

Sorry for bothering you so much but it just doesn't work for me.

Oops, sorry, my fault. If you use version 13, the 3 directories to remove are:
.ancestris/13/var/cache
.ancestris/13/modules
.ancestris/13/update_tracking

Not 'trunk'.

Yes, that is what I did. I din't find trunk anyway. If not, please send me your ancestris.log file in .ancestris/13.
