1. Ancestris uses only GEDCOM file to store genealogical data.
We use an user directory (".ancestris/[version]/") to store configuration files.

Therefore, if you move your media files after you "link" them into Ancestris, the software won't be able to display them.
The best way is to organize your media files on your computer before link them into the software.
2. The best way is to put on your USB key the GEDCOM file and create a directory for the media on the key, then use the relative path of the files to keep consistency between the GEDCOM file and the media files.
Everything is on your key, everything is relative, you can plug your key in any computer and make it work.
