[Dutch] Printing the list of conversion changes from an Imported Gedcom.

Hi all,

After doing an import of a Gedcom, I ask for the total list of changes/updates Ancestris made.
I get that in the document window.

When i print that document from the document window, lots of those lines become unreadable, see screenshots.

Could that be changed?

I hardly dare to ask........

But if it would be possible to enlarge the fontsize of that report in the documents window, I think very many users, especially older ones, would be really very pleased.

Or give a possibility to change the fontsize in that window by the user.

It is really very very hard to read.
It looks like fontsize 6 or something.
Especially older eyes will have lots of trouble reading the info.

The screenshot shows the font compaired to the font in the Gedcom editor.
And I already changed the fontsize in the settings to 16. But that does not change anything in this document window.

OK, done.
Tomorrow, you could see some changes like page orientation change to better display the columns and font size aligned with font size defined in the preferences.

Hi Zurga,

Half of it is working.
The font in the document window is readable now.

But it looks as if the same fontsize is used in the pdf?
So in the pdf the ID part at the start of the line still overwrites.
The pdf now is indeed horizontal (landscape), so no longer portrait.
But the fontsize in the pdf is way too large.

Would be great if we had more control about fontsizes everywhere.
But i understood that was difficult.
But I have seen more users mentioning they wanted more control over fontsizes here and there.
So maybe someone should think about how that could be done someday.
Lots of elderly people have problems with smaller fonts.

See screenshots for what it looks now.

But indeed way better than it was!!

I tried and failed.
The library we use to create pdf is bad when it comes to long word with no spaces.
The report is correct with font size until 14 size.
After, it's a fail.

By the way, I really think to remove this features of font size since we have a direct access to zoom factor.
Use this new settings and font size only if the zoom factor doesn't work.

I understand, you tried, so its ok.

But maybe, in case the fontsize is larger than 14, you could set the reportfontsize to 14?
If that gives results where things dont overwrite?

I have two options :
- Fix the font-size in the report => The font-size is the same in the display so if you put more than 14, you will have the "font size 6 or something" you mentioned above
- Let the font size follow the settings => Potentially, you will have a bad display in the pdf.

Third option:

Fix/connect a correct and more modern/younger pdf generator.
That way this problem and maybe others are gone forgood.
That might take more time, and probably has to be postponed until Gedcom 7 is ready and Ancestris 12 is released, But it might give less problems in the future, and probably give more features.
