Error uploading ged file - new user

Hello everyone,

I'm entirely new to the software (downloaded it 20 minutes ago) and geneology (less than a week) - I've got a downloaded gedcom file from Findmypast.co.uk and would like to upload it but I encounter an error - see screenshot.

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

It looks as though it's a file error - but here's what I'm running it on, just in case:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz   1.80 GHz
Windows 11 Home 21H2
Java version 8

As the message explains, your GEDCOM file has a flaw : two entities share the same identifiers.

You can open your file and looking for the trouble and change it.
Eventually, you can send me your file in order I change what it should be done and send you back the modified file.
If you choose this option, please send your file to zurga @ ancestris . org (remove the exceeding spaces).

There are errors in that gedcom file. You have two times the same ID, and of course it's impossible. If you want me to try to fix that error, send me your gedcom file, but as a private mail at "francois AT ancestris DOT org". Francois
