Hi, I had a GENOOM account, but for some reason, I can't get my files back.. I checked all of the emails I used, but no information from GENOOM.. I was wondering if you can guide me on how to get my genoom files..

Thanks..

Genoom has stopped their activities and shut down their servers.
Genoom's management crew has mentioned Ancestris as replacement for theirs services but we have no others connections with them.
You had until September to get your data. Sadly, it's now too late.

I don't know if there is a way to contact them now.

I received the email to download, but it was so big, I could not open it. Does this mean I lost 15years of family history?

I do have the link but, I was never able to download it.

I sent a email but, a shame it’s gone forever..

Any ideas?

Have you tried to ask a friend, or somebody else, which have the possibility to handle the size of the file you have a link to ? By this, you have an option to get the File.

We have no contact with Genoom.
You should try to get the file from the link on one computer.

What I often do if I want very old information back, I try the Wayback machine.
It does not always help, but maybe you can at least get back something?

Official link:

https://archive.org/web/

That gets you to a page where you fill in the url of the page you are looking for.
If you type: genoom.org you get to a screen with a calendar.

Click on the most recent date that site or page was saved.
I tried genoom.com dated: aug 20 2021, that got me to:
https://web.archive.org/web/20210820085458/https://www.genoom.com/

Have to login there.
the green circles are redirects. If those dont work, try the blue circles.

If you know on what pages (url's) your information was, you might be able to go directly to thoose.

Give it a try, maybe you are lucky.
