Two brothers mary two sisters
« on: March 08, 2021, 14:39:48 »
In 1811 Mary FINCH and Eleanor FINCH married two EVERETT brothers.
What is the correct way of giving the two ladies the same parents please? Whatever I try seems to lead to double entities for several generations.
Thank you.

The correct way is to go to the FINCH parents and add the two sisters.
Then go to the EVERETT parents and give them the two sons (it should be already correct when we see your report example).
Then create the corresponding wedding.
Your data are correct.

Now, the trouble is : How to display all in only one tree representation.
Sorry for you, this is not possible with Ancestris.
All the reports will duplicates the information.

Except for the graph module.
In this display, each individual is displayed only one time even it could be appears several times in the tree.

OK, Thanks for clearing that up.

I've got to send a copy out to lots of people in print form so I guess I'll open a pdf in Illustrator or Photoshop etc and scrub out the doubles and draw the new lines in myself.

Not too difficult to sort.

Thank you for the quick reply!
