Help recovering old ged file

Hi there,
Im new to Ancestris..
tried to upload my old ged created with FTW but can't manage to get it to work...

the data comes up all mixed unreadable characters .  instead of Hebrew and English.
 
is there a way to fix it?

Hi,

A GEDCOM file define a charset in the header of the file.
This charset should be ANSEL, UTF-8, UNICODE (means UTF-16) or ASCII.
UTF-8 is allowed only for GEDCOM 5.5.1 format.

Please, look into your file to be sure what encoding you use and which version of GEDCOM you use.
