How to cut and copy a section of a tree

(1/2) > >>

mde:
I have a tree that begins with me and includes all my ancestors going back. I would like to cut and copy the section that includes my grandmother so I can send it to people who are related to me through her. How do I do this? I can't see any sort of cut or copy options and don't want to retype everything ...

Huoda:
Hi! If you use the “Rendu Graphique Étendu de l’Arbre” report, you can choose the person to center on. If you make a tree centered on your grandmother, with no ancestor but with all descendants, will it be ok?

mde:
No because I want to do more than a report. I want to start adding in brothers and sisters of people on the tree and make it more than just a the lines going directly back ...

FredericL:
In the tree view, you can unfold the branches you want to keep, and fold the branches you want to exclude.

Then if you go to "File/Save As", you are able to only export the branches that were unfolded (options on the right of save as)

Let me know if that responds to your need.

Rgds,
Frederic

maxmex:
Hello!
Unfortunately I cannot identify the correct option in the dialogues/windows.
Could you please explain in detail how I can include/exclude certain sections of the tree?
Regards Markus
