ENGLISH / Re: Family View
« on: May 15, 2013, 12:03:06 »
Hi, all!

I'm coming back to the graphical views.
When working in the tree, I think it woulds nice to be able to limit the view to concentrate on the part that you are just working in.
As I said earlier, I think it would be useful with a "Family View". Just showing a "family part" of the tree. Centered around the focused person.
I also think it would be useful to have a copuple of other possibilities to split the view as well:
"Ancestors" - just from, and including, the focused person and backwards. (or upwards, if you like),
"Descendants" - just from, and including, the focused person and forwards. (or downwards),
cutting out all other information to get a clearer view.

The selection of view, could be made by tabs above the Dynamic Tree Windows, for instance.

Give it a thought!   ;)

ENGLISH / Family View

Hi, all!

This is a wish!
I think it would be useful to have a "Family View" as sketched below.
The focus is set on *child* (at left) in this case. The father has been married twice and has two families with children and is displayed accordingly.
One of his children has also been married twice and have two families. The leftmost one. I hope the "layout" will stick in different computer views. Let me know if it's unclear.
