Title: Age at death to fill automatically

Hello. I am just wondering why it is that the age at death of an ancestor is not shown in the entities table in the corresponding column. On the other hand, on the editing page of the person it is shown. It would be interesting to sort my ancestors according to their longevity.

Age is a special type of data.
Basically, it is calculated all around the editors, but it can be materialized by a AGE tag.
In this case, this is this value which is taken in account.
The entity table list the values stored in tags, not calculated.
So the value is empty most of the time except if you have created manually the tags.

Hello,

If you are insterested, there is a possibility to generate ages in your whole genealogy, using the toolbox.

Go to Menu / Tools / List & Reports then select the toolbox, and in the toolbox, choose the age generation.

It will overwrite whatever was specified as ages, so make sure you are ok with that.

Sorry FredericL, but I can't find what you are suggesting. There is no age generation in my program. Is it a plugin that needs to be installed separaterly?

Go to "List and report".
Choose "Tool box"
Go to "Options" tab.
Choose "Generate AGE tags for events" in "Choose tool to run" option.

Hi, I was not aware you were one of the developers. So I will need to download the latest update to see the change?

The updates come to you everytime you start Ancestris.
If you use version 11, the updates are almost daily.
Version 10 no longer has any update.
