No, it doesn't.
The application doesn't crash but it takes only the last path. In your case, BIRT:DATE or DEAT:DATE.
The first one is just skipped.

In this case, maybe a error message can be displayed if the syntax is not correct with the parameter "ifvalue" (a check and a warning message for the line: <ifvalue default=*:*:* path=*:*:*>)

Note that the template in the daily build use "CHR" instead of "BAPM".
I'm not sure which tag is the most used.

I do not know too.

I am just using Ancestris "off the shelf". I know nothing about programming and am too old to start. I am suggesting something that the developers shoudl consider incorporating in the basic build next time it is updated. It is an issue that concerns so many people.

Hello,
Usually in France it is possible to start around 16xx (baptisms: 1545-to-1792) and the baptisms are usually done at(near) the birthday date, so I do the opposite way, I first add the birthday date (since1792-1933 in France) and after the baptisms date (usually the same date).
So I always have the birthday date filled.
But it is maybe a good suggestion to add an option: "if the birthday date does not exist then copy baptisms date to the birthday date tag".
Is it what you want ?

Edit: You can also modify the template to see the tag BAPM:DATE, and /or some others customized Tag:

J'ai importé depuis Parentèle et ai bien choisi UTF 8.

La version Ancestris beta V0.10 et en général bien mieux adaptée pour les importations de fichiers .ged, mais j'ai pas testé avec Parentèle. Ca vaut peut-être le coup d'essayer ?

Oui il faut faire la recherche sur internet des lieux en globalité (pour remplir tous les champs).
Et oui la gestion des lieux peut être parfois délicate (des doublons, ou quasi, en fonction des coordonnées GPS,  peuvent exister) ... Personnellement j'ai dû faire un ménage aussi, c'est un peu long mais ça sert pour la suite.
Ou, faire la recherche sur internet des lieux un par un.
 Vue/Liste des lieux/clique sur un lieu puis clique droit/Editer ce lieu/recherche internet/Remplacer - ou - Compléter/OK
Pour info:... Les doublons fusionnent automatiquement lorsqu'ils ont les mêmes noms et coordonnées GPS.

Je parais un peu frileux mais je galère déjà pour rattraper tous les caractères non reconnus lors de l'importation de mon Ged.

... Importer de quel logiciel (car dans Ancestris V0.10 la fonctionnalité peut être automatique, et des fois c'est plus simple de repartir de zéro avec la bonne option d'importation dans Ancestris)

Avec pour option du fichier .ged, la norme gedcom 5.5.1 , le formatage des caractères en  UTF-8

Personnellement j'utilise que l'éditeur Gedcom ... et je rajoute un élément multimédia pour chaque photo (jpg, png, ou pdf) dans le tag concerné (je n'ai pas trouvé mieux).

Just for information, I think the best way is to select the gedcom 5.5.1 (for now) , by this way you can add (for example) some www tag (and it is useful). For me Char UTF-8 is also better, and for places, I use all zones, even if I do not use, right now, the Paroisse one's.
