Dominique, alias Lemovice is developing a new plugin to check whether or not, your gedcom data contain duplicates, and if so, update your genealogy by removing the existing duplicates records. Its name : Gedcom Check Duplicates.
This tool is available right now, but for people running Ancestris beta 0.8 only. Check the plugins manager of Ancestris. This tool can be used for testing purpose only.
It's important for us to get feedback and bug reports. Francois

The sentences, words, used by Ancestris are gathered into simple text files, which respect a localized naming schema. Their names are "Bundle_xx.properties". (xx is the ISO 639-1 code for the country languages, eg. "no" for norwegian, "it" for italian, "fr" for french, etc...)
The one to use as a reference is of course, the english one whose name is just "Bundle.properties".

The bundles files use the UTF-8 character encoding, so it's important if you edit one of them using a simple text editor to always save it as UTF-8.

This is an example of a Bundle.properties file:

As you can see, you have a variable name, eg. "LBL_ContentLoading", the sign "=", and right after, the sentence the program will use as "Content is loading..."
All you have to do is to translate those words/sentences.

If you don't like text editor and prefer an easier way to translate you can use our tool whose name is  Trancestris (Windows, Linux, Fedora, Ubuntu, MacOs versions are available).

Give us a summary of the bug :

Which Operating System? : Windows, Linux, Mac

Which version of the O.S.? : examples: Windows XP, Linux Ubuntu 10.04, Linux Fedora 10

Which version of Ancestris? : 0.7, 0.8beta, xxxx

What is your Java version? : JDK Sun, JDK from OpenJDK, java 1.7.05, etc.....

What are the windows opened on your Ancestris application? : examples: the Treeview, the Ancestris editor, the Table view

This bug is related to the application itself or a plugin? :

If it's about a plugin, which plugin? :

If you use the beta version, do you update Ancestris each time a new version is available? :

This bug appeared right after an update (you didn't get it before, and right now, you have it) :

Which version of the module is concerned (check the "Help - About" dialog box) : example, Ancestris Core: 0.8.0.3418; for a module, example: Geo: 0.8.0.3438

What is the process that makes the bug to appear (the more details  you can give, the better it is) :

Backtrace in the log file : example, in your log file, you can have a line which begins with java.lang.NullPointerException. It's an example of course.

Pour soumettre un bug dans ce forum, il est nécessaire de suivre un cadre pour que les personnes qui développent Ancestris puissent avoir un certain nombre d'informations nécessaires pour cerner le ou les problèmes.
Faites un copier/coller et remplissez les informations nécessaires. Merci. Francois

Salve,

lo scopo di questo forum è quello di aiutarvi a scoprire e a utilizzare Ancestris programma di Genealogia.

Ancestris è totalmente gratuito e funziona sotto Windows, Linux, MacOS. E' sviluppato da persone appassionate  di genealogia che padroneggiano il linguaggio Java usato per la programmazione del software.
Ancestris è anche una comunità di utenti che vi possono aiutare. Il principio è che gli utenti aiutano gli utenti. Se avete una domanda, qualcuno ha una risposta e vi può aiutare. Tuttavia prima di postare il vostro messaggio, non esitate a guardare nei messaggi già postati se vi è già una risposta alla vostra domanda. Altrimenti andate nel forum appropriato e postate il vostro problema..

Salve,

siamo lieti di annunciare che la versione v. 0.7 di Ancestris è stata messa in linea il 18 giugno 2012.

Troverete i files da scaricare sul nostro wiki all’indirizzo : http://www.ancestris.org

Un consiglio, procurate di di dinstallare la versione 0.6 prima di installare la versione 0.7. Non dimenticate, prima di tutto, di esportare le vostre preferenze per ricaricarle con un import al momento dell’installazione. Si dovranno scaricare di nuovo tutti i plugins per renderli compatibili con la versione 0.7.

Siamo convinti che questa nuova versione vi soddisferà, e già da adesso la vesione 0.8 è in preparazione :D - François
