Hej.

Den ideelle sammensmeltning foregår i 2 faser:
1/ Sammenkædning af de 2 filer som de er, uden analyse af dubletter
2/ Analyse af dubletter for at tilbyde dig en handling på hver (kun bevarelse af den ene, kun af den anden eller kun af en ved at gendanne oplysninger fra hver)

Trin 1/ udføres med Menu/File/Union
Trin 2/ udføres med Menu/Værktøjer/Flet dubletter (Sammenflet dubletter)

Desuden er fusionen kun et skøn fra Ancestris side, og denne intelligens er ikke perfekt.

Hola Santiago,

El WebBook esta generado en el directorio que especificas en las pantallas de lanzamiento.
En este directorio, el archivo que hay que abrir se llama index.html. Se abre con qualquier browser.

Pero deberia abrirse automaticamente cuando pulsas el boton del Welbook. Si no functionna, a lo mejor tienes la version 11 de Ancestris porque hemos corregido este punto en la version 12.

Que te parece? Dime si te ayuda.

The thing is that all the fields in the tables are from another format spec and any added file will not make it to the gedcom automatically in this interchange format (NEMEGUE for instance), unless this format is flexible enough. I will check.
I guess the only easier way for now is to add them once the record is transferred to the gedcom file.

Oui en effet, on dirait qu'il y a un tri qui ne fonctionne pas. Sur quelle colonne est triée la table et si possible quelles sont les données peut-être bizarre contenues dans le champ svp?

I can't seem to find how to add a Census type to the possible births, marriages, deaths, misc types

Not sure what you mean by type. You can have entries for births, marriages and deaths. For any other type, you use Misc.

Also I can't find how to define what entries there should be for each Census. In England the data collected changes for each Census.

To add an entry, click the "Create a new record" button or Alt+N or M or D or V for short (letter key depends on type) and fill in the right hand side panel (the various fields you know).
You can select which fields you want to display but the list of items and fields is fixed.

Also how do I record multiple entries, the example file only shows two participants, while Census pages can record many people per page.

Before entering a long list of entries, you set the fields which are likely to be required for the list, as mentioned above, and then you enter one by one in the form and Alt+V for each. It populates the list on the left. List can be very long.

Can you explain how Ancestris stores and reads the registry information in a GEDCOM file.

Out of the record entries in the llist, you can drag-n-drop the ones to insert in your tree. The documentation is rather descriptive there.

Thanks for your message. Let me check first. I do not use it very often and I need to check a few things before answering. I will come back to you asap. It *is* the proper way to enter census data.
The census data is not stored in the gedcom right away. You will need to drag-n-drop people from the census table to your gedcom tree to do that.

Pour que les photos apparaissent style trombinoscope en tout cas, mes précos seraient:
- Toutes de la même taille
- La bonne taille, c'est celle qui convient dans la fenêtre dans laquelle vous allez les regarder: faites un essai sur une, dans l'arbre et dans Cygnus (ou Aries et éditeur gedcom) et les différentes vues que vous préférez. Une fois calée, vous faites toutes les autres de la même taille. En principe, 1,5 de haut sur 1 de large correspond aux photos papiers en portrait. Donc c'est un bon ratio.
- Format JPG prend moins de place mais PNG permet la transparence du fond si besoin.

...sous le contrôle des experts photo dont je ne fait pas partie.

Dans l'arbre dynamique, les ascendants sont ceux de l'individu racine, donc les descendants des ascendants ne s'affichent pas dans l'arbre. C'est une question de conception qui pose problème en 2 dimensions. Comment afficher en montant à la fois les parents et les fratries. Le rapport arbre multiple y répond en partie, mais il ne permet pas de faire d'extraction de branche... à ce stade.

En version 12,
- dans la vue arbre, vous avez le bouton exporter qui permet de joindre les individus et entités directement connectés à la branche visible
- vous avez aussi le rapport rapide Groupes Familiaux qui vous permet de générer un gedcom à partir d'un sous-ensemble d'individus connectés par des liens familiaux.

Hi and welcome,

You need to create a family entity for each union.
In this case, F1 would have the first couple and children. You would add a MARR event and a DIV event to this first family.
Then for the parent who remarries, you create for him/her another family, F2. And you attach the spouse and the other children to this family F2.

Thanks for your message. I am not sure this is related otherwise you would get the same message.
The bin/ancestris file should be there obviously because it is in the downloaded package.
Ideally you should have java 17 active (what does java -version gives you in a terminal window?) and run Ancestris 12 because more recent.

If I were you, I would remove all ancestris versions (delete folders or apps), remove java 8 (not sure how), make sure java 17 is still active (open a terminal and type "java -version"), then reinstall Ancestris 12 and try again.
